Plaid

With plaid being back in are people going to be looking like lumber jacks all the time? I know it is comfortable and warm but how are people going to avoid looking like there on the river riding the logs? People will have to accessorize the right way. Wearing solid suit vest won't do it on there own. The shirt needs to be the right size.

Unless you are wearing the plaid at home as your pj's than wearing an over sized shirt is not gonna work. I have seen many women walking around with these paid shirts. Although the colors that look fantastic with their skin tones. They don't fit. And it completely kills their outfit. The colors do wonderful things to peoples moods. Put people in good spirits kind of warm like holidays.

Mixing the plaids is an absolute no no. If you are going to wear plaid make sure if you are wearing another element to your outfit that has plaid or a patterned fabric you match the patterns. Mixing patterns with a busy fabric like plaid is gross and if you do it by accident you should change right away.

I hate plaid. Plaid is for private school and should stay there. I mean come on it only works on very few people and scarves. I see mostly girls wearing it and it's like 1. the shirt fit and style doesn't even look good and then there's the plaid and 2. the wake up and go look is still in style and you literally look like you tried to put on clothes but stopped after you got pants on. EWWW!

I think plaid can look a little frumpy and lumberjack-y like you said if the fit is oversized or sloppy. On the other hand, a body-conscious or fitted plaid can look really nice. Think a tailored Ralph Lauren plaid blouse with ruffle details to make it more feminine. I also really love plaid coats, but less of a flannel, lumberjack plaid and more of a refined wool tartan. I have been seeing more buffalo check type of plaids rather than tartans, which could explain why some people might not be digging the sudden surge in plaids.
